A group of friends get together and do some crazy things all in the name of fun. The problem is, one of them might be crazy. Friends start to get bumped off, and questions come up as to who is doing it. Is Ginny truly crazy and killing off her friends, or is it someone else trying to drive her even more over the edge?
Acting is really on the down slope in this one. All of them are just okay in their roles, and their characters range in very little deviation from the standard. You have the guy who likes to play jokes, the slutty girl and even the weirds who just doesn’t fit in. All standard slasher character types, and they all fit in just fine.
Where this movie really shines is with the inventive kills. Most of them are truly unique and that is a feat considering how many movies have come and gone over the years. You can guess one of them, just look at the cover or poster art. Awesome kill and just a plain cool idea. Another one is a weight room kill; most males will squeal in pain, while most female will shout awesome. The downside is for the gore fans, as most of the killing takes place off screen, or is just shown for a few precious seconds. It still works, but it would have been nice to see more carnage.
The ending is another place where the movie is really a hidden gem. You are led in a lot of different directions through out the movie and you are forced to change your opinion quite a few times before the end is finally revealed. It will catch most of the really hardcore horror fans off guard, which is a wonderful thing to see.
In the end I would say to definitely go check this one out. Great kills, great end and a pretty interesting story overall makes for a good movie for a get together with friends. Eat popcorn, shout at the screen and poke fun at the acting, but just remember to pay close attention to the story and try to figure out who the real killer is.Have You Read...?
