Next week’s group movie is Teeth (2007), the feature début of director Mitchell “I’m Roy Lichtenstein’s son” Lichtenstein. It’s about a girl who has a severe case of vagina dentata (maybe we should get Dr. Victoria Lazoff to look at that).
In related news, Lackey has figured out that you can sing the words “vagina dentata” to the tune of “Hakuna Matata.” A full song is forthcoming.
What else? Well, there’s grapes that turn people into zombies, two giant alien monsters, and something called Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl. Can’t wait to find out what that one’s about.
The full schedule:
Monday: Cloverfield [Lackey], The Grapes of Death [the Drudgeon]
Tuesday: Teeth [Jori], The Quatermass Xperiment [Lackey]
Wednesday: Teeth [the Drudgeon], In a Dark Place [Jori]
Thursday: Teeth [Lackey], Rings [the Drudgeon]
Friday: Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl [Jori], Masters of Horror: “Chocolate” [Lackey]
Tentative upcoming group movies: The Resurrected, Red Dragon

Notice: Two theatrical releases previously covered by Lackey are making their way to DVD and Blu-Ray over the next couple weeks: Let Me In on February 1 (although, to be honest, you should watch Let the Right One In instead) and My Soul to Take on February 8.
