Another villain taken out in the lamest way possible.
* * *
So the Judge is alive and well (well kinda as he needs to get some more power), Angel has now turned evil because of a moment of “true” happiness and Drusilla is still annoying. What are Buffy and friends supposed to do now?
So Angel is now bad and it’s kinda interesting that David Boreanaz is better at acting like a villain. Don’t get me wrong and think that I think he is now some great actor or anything like that, but he is more believable being bad than being good. Concerning everyone else…they are pretty much the same. But this time around there is a lot more crappy dialogue (more attempts at witty or emotional dialogue than anything else) and most of the time it just feels very clumsily put together.
Buffy is also upset that Angel is now bad and she starts to feel bad for herself…AGAIN! What else should she have expected? Yes I know that the heart does what it wants, but HE’S A FUCKING VAMPIRE you dumb ass!
Again they introduce a nasty villain that is supposed to be extremely tough and then take them out in the lamest way possible. I think they have these great ideas about a villain and think how cool they will be, but they don’t take the time to think about the final confrontation. So every time they have a “boss battle” it always comes off as sloppy and half-assed. They look for a simple way out of a jam that they created and can never follow through with any epic battles, just lame copouts.
How the fuck did this show stay on the air as long as it did? I just don’t get it.Have You Read...?
