Now they’re attacking the swim team! NOOOOOO!!!!!
* * *
The episode starts with a party at the beach. You see the Sunnydale swim team is doing so well that everyone is excited. While there, two guys go off talking and then while one is babbling to himself the other goes missing and when he goes to look for him the camera pans to the empty skin of the first guy. Back at school the next day Willow is now (pretty much) the teacher, but she is having trouble with one of the students, he’s not doing homework and isn’t showing up for class. She talks to Principal Snyder and he doesn’t care because he’s on the swim team. The next we hear is that another swim team member has gone missing. Xander joins the team to try and find out what’s going on. What is found out is different that what you would probably expect. They aren’t being killed, they are turning into strange fishlike creatures, and they are hungry.
This episode is actually pretty good. The concept of the creatures is pretty cool and the fact that they aren’t being killed, but being changed is a nice touch. What do you do in that situation when you’re trying to protect those who are trying to harm you? Now one of my favorite scenes in the episode is where Cordelia is telling Willow about how awesome and hot the swim team is and how she is only dating Xander…then Xander appears, now part of the swim team and they even have him walking in slow motion. It’s just a really funny and well-shot scene.Have You Read...?
