Now they’re attacking the swim team!  NOOOOOO!!!!!

* * *

The episode starts with a party at the beach. You see the Sunnydale swim team is doing so well that everyone is excited.  While there, two guys go off talking and then while one is babbling to himself the other goes missing and when he goes to look for him the camera pans to the empty skin of the first guy.  Back at school the next day Willow is now (pretty much) the teacher, but she is having trouble with one of the students, he’s not doing homework and isn’t showing up for class.  She talks to Principal Snyder and he doesn’t care because he’s on the swim team.  The next we hear is that another swim team member has gone missing.  Xander joins the team to try and find out what’s going on.  What is found out is different that what you would probably expect.  They aren’t being killed, they are turning into strange fishlike creatures, and they are hungry.

This episode is actually pretty good.  The concept of the creatures is pretty cool and the fact that they aren’t being killed, but being changed is a nice touch.  What do you do in that situation when you’re trying to protect those who are trying to harm you?  Now one of my favorite scenes in the episode is where Cordelia is telling Willow about how awesome and hot the swim team is and how she is only dating Xander…then Xander appears, now part of the swim team and they even have him walking in slow motion.  It’s just a really funny and well-shot scene.

About The Drudgeon

I don't remember my real name or where I came from. All I know is that I'm traped in an underground cave with nothing but a TV, DVD player and a notebook and pen. They keep calling me The Drudgeon, I don't even know what that means. Someone keeps dropping horror movies in and yelling at me to watch them and write about what I watch. Then I eat the DVD and case, because they tell me if I consume the horror I will understand the horror. I think there are three of them. So if you are reading this right now, HELP ME!!!!!!! OUCH!!!! Someone just poked me with a sea urchin attacked to a pool cue, what the fuck is going on?
